Data we process
- Account data, such as user identifier, email, display name and sign-in provider.
- Profile data, such as sex, birth date, weight, height, activity level, goal, language and unit preferences.
- Nutrition data, such as meals, calories, macros, water, favorites, recipes, shopping notes and diary preferences.
- Activity data, only if you grant permission, such as steps and active energy from supported health integrations.
- Notification data, such as push token, platform, permission status and reminder preferences.
- Purchase data needed to provide Pro access, restore purchases and apply usage limits.
- Photos or descriptions you choose to submit for meal or nutrition-label estimates.
- Technical and diagnostic data needed for security, reliability, analytics and service improvement.
Why we use data
- To create and manage your account.
- To sync your profile, diary, preferences and saved items.
- To calculate targets, daily summaries, statistics, calories and macros.
- To provide AI-assisted food estimates when you request them.
- To manage Pro features, subscription status, limits and purchase restoration.
- To send reminders when you enable them.
- To protect the service, prevent abuse, fix errors and comply with legal obligations.
Legal bases
We process data to provide the service you request, comply with legal obligations, protect our legitimate interest in keeping the app secure and reliable, and, where required, based on your consent. You can revoke health, notification, camera and photo-library permissions in your device settings.
Service providers and data recipients
Depending on the features you use, data may be processed by:
- Google Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, database, cloud functions, app integrity, analytics, diagnostics, push messaging and hosting.
- Google Gemini on Vertex AI for a food estimate only when you submit a description or selected image. Fuelia sends the requested input for processing and does not deliberately store the original image after the response is returned.
- Apple and Google when you use their sign-in, health, app-store, purchase or notification services.
- RevenueCat to identify subscription entitlement, restore purchases and synchronize Pro access.
Fuelia does not sell personal data. Providers process data under their own terms and our applicable contractual safeguards.
Website, analytics and cookies
The public Fuelia website does not currently use advertising trackers or non-essential tracking cookies. The mobile app uses Firebase Analytics to understand feature use and service reliability. Analytics events are designed not to include meal names, photos, health values or free-form personal text, but they may include an app user identifier, device/app information, language, subscription tier and feature interaction events.
Security and international transfers
Fuelia uses access controls, encrypted network connections, app integrity checks and restricted backend permissions appropriate to the service. No system is completely secure. Some providers may process data outside your country; where required, transfers rely on an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or another lawful safeguard.
Health and nutrition notice
Fuelia is not a medical device and does not replace a doctor, dietitian or nutritionist. Calorie, macro and activity estimates may be inaccurate. Do not use Fuelia for diagnosis, treatment or urgent medical decisions.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and app data while your account is active or while it is needed to provide the service. Security and diagnostic logs are retained only as reasonably necessary; purchase and accounting records may be kept for legally required periods; deleted data may remain temporarily in protected backups before routine expiry. You can reset app data or permanently delete your account in the app. You can also follow the instructions on the account deletion page.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent where applicable. Contact fuelia.app@gmail.com. You may also contact the competent data protection authority.
Children
Fuelia is not intended for children below the minimum age required by applicable law or app-store rules. If you believe a child provided data without proper authorization, contact us.
Changes
We may update this policy to reflect product, legal or operational changes. The current version is published on this page.
